Sometimes the word classic is used too lightly, but in that case its absolutely suitable. Rough Trades is a shot-on-film feature from master administrator Jack Deveau, who along with his beau and collaborator Robert Alvarez (who directed this video) was responsible for some of the greatest gay porno to come out of the 70s.
Set in the run down, sex-drenched New York Town of the decadent Me Decade, that film is short on plot; as an alternative, it offers up a handful of sex episodes this are every once in a while intercut to highly sexy effect. Theres a priceless sound throughout, blaring horns and psychedelic guitar which set the standard for what would come to be known as porno music.
And then theres the sex – its classic, unbridled 70s man-on-man action, with the guys fucking and sucking with raw abandon and stuffing their orifices with everything from fists to produce.
