The Fall of 2008 and Winter of 2009 is a period in the history of gay men in San Francisco for the record books. The struggle for equal rights set against the background of gay marriage brought to light the personal and cultural discrimination we deal with on a daily basis. Retribution is a strong emotion, and 1 this encompasses fantasies and desires of resoluteness. It’s from this milieu this Barebacked Abduction 2 was conceived. Protests and demonstrations against gay marriage were commonplace near Township Hall throughout the fall, and what better source for an abductee than the despicable God Hates Fags crowd that literally demeans gay mens very existence. Chase Peters was too bewitching a target for the Spunk Mob, snatched off the street, blindfolded and dragged back to the Mobs South of Market warehouse where a waiting Jacob Slader planned a deflowering and religious conversion – but in reverse to the standard born-again theme, putting the human back into the zealots skin, so to speak. The Spunk Mob does a great job teaching this derelict what being gay is all about and nobody is more astonished than Peters himself at how swiftly gink catches on to oral working!
